Dr. Tighe is President and Owner of Therapy Associates of Denbigh. Prior to establishing Therapy Associates, she worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. She has worked extensively with individuals involved in domestic violence and has treated both victims and perpetrators. She was co-founder of one of the first battered women's shelters in the state of Virginia.
 
Dr. Tighe has treated individuals from age 5 to older adults. She is especially interested in and experienced in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD.

In addition to Dr. Tighe's psychotherapy practice, she has conducted anger management groups for civilians and the military. She also provides conflict management training for the Air Force, along with psychological disability evaluations for the Department of Rehabilitative Services.

Her doctorate is from the College of William & Mary's Department of Counseling and School Psychology.

Children as well as adults benefit from hypnotic interventions.
